Passion.com is a lively, adult dating site, promoting matches based on risque sexual tastes. While site performance is more than adequate, there are so many features that user experience suffers and becomes a little overwhelming for the new user. Passion users are both active and responsive, and you can get a feel for the site without a full subscription. This is achieved via a small purchase for access to private chat rooms, without subscribing to a premium membership.
Passion’s search could be a little more intuitive, in that if I am a male browsing for women, is there really a need to see “men seeking” profile options? Regardless, site search still remained promising as Passion does feature a large number of users who are ready to hook up. Passion.com presents both positives and negatives, but the bottom line is that it’s a fun site with a lot to offer.

How Passion Differs from other sites
Passion is for people looking beyond the typical hookup. The site targets folks with eclectic sexual preferences and funnels them towards like-minded people, through site features and search functions. There is also a “kink search” available, to find specific turn ons. Passion has an extremely diverse and active user base, including a decent amount of couples looking for “a third” to join them for some fun.
Passion has some fun community features like group chat, which seem a little old school, but functions well and comes in handy as they are organized by geographical regions.

Passion: Using the Site
Passion has a five step signup process that comes with positives and negatives. It takes longer than normal, requiring you to enter far beyond the usual username, password and email address. This can be a bit frustrating when you’re just trying to access the site to check it out as a free user. On the other hand, all five steps serve an effective purpose: once you’re signing up, there is little more work to be done, and you are immediately presented with potential matches.
Passion also seems to truly want you to connect with others, and does this during registration in two ways. First, it gives you writing prompts for welcome text on your profile. If that’s not enough, there is a form that helps you describe yourself with text drop down options, for example “In the bedroom, I tend to like (traditional, straight forward/kinky, experimental/other) sex.”
Premium Membership
Passion gives little away for free when it comes to actually connecting with other users. Viewing profiles and messaging members is strictly for the premium user. You’ll need a Gold membership to effectively use the site.
Until you pay for full membership, you can hover over profiles to see multiple photos and will be able to watch live streams in the Live Models section.

Like the general site, Passion’s help page is “busy” and littered with long lists of frequently asked questions. There are too many possible questions displayed on one page. Passion should really consider making their Help Pages a bit more user intuitive. Also, the Help section’s site functionality is way out of date, and could use some helpful tweaks that were introduced to the Internet over 10 years ago.
The live chat is a different story. Once we opened up contact, a support representative responded in less than two minutes and was more than happy to help. Support also includes an online form and provides a 24/7 support phone number.

Passion offers three membership packages with an option to add either a one or three month enhancement for free members to message you at any time ($24.95 and $35.85 respectively).
